Punam Punja, MMS, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. She she has been practicing as a PA since 2010. She specializes in Hepatology and has additional experience in GI Oncology, with three years of practice in Eastern North Carolina. During that time, she co-authored several publications presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Her clinical work includes caring for patients with a wide spectrum of liver diseases, including genetic, congenital, viral, autoimmune, cirrhotic, and MASH/MASLD conditions. She is part of the Steatotic Liver Disease Clinic at Emory. Beyond patient care, Punam serves as a guest lecturer for the Emory Physician Assistant program and as an educator with GHAPP.

She is also interested in clinical informatics and earned certification as an Epic APP Builder. In this role, she contributes to improving workflows and customizing documentation tools to enhance provider efficiency at Emory.

Outside of medicine, Punam enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and playing pickleball.
